Hydropower Testing Network (HyTN): Applications open until October 30.
September 30, 2024
The U.S. Department of Energy’s Water Power Technologies Office (WPTO) has opened applications for the second phase of the Hydropower Testing Network (HyTN), which connects hydropower technology developers with testing capability providers.
WPTO invites for-profit companies, nonprofit research organizations, and academic institutions developing hydropower technologies to apply for testing support. Selected developers will receive vouchers to implement targeted physical testing activities that advance technology readiness. Technologies of interest include but are not limited to:
- Hydropower powertrain equipment
- Structures, materials, and repair processes
- Electrical, electronic, and cybersecurity devices
- Environmental mitigation technology
With 5 approved test facilities in this program, Verdantas Flow Labs is ready to support applicants with a range of capabilities related to fish passage, flow measurement, and turbine performance testing.
Our team is eager to discuss project needs with all interested applicants ahead of the October 30 application deadline.
