At Verdantas, our people continue to lead with purpose, championing volunteerism, philanthropy, and community engagement across the country. Through our Together Verdantas initiative, we celebrate these efforts and the meaningful impact our team members create in the communities we serve. This fall and winter, our offices came together to support local causes, lend a helping hand, and spread joy during the holiday season. Here’s a look at how we made a difference together.  

Source to Sea Cleanup | Middletown, CT

On September 26th, a group from our Middletown Office volunteered an afternoon to collect trash along the Connecticut River as part of the Annual Source to Sea Cleanup sponsored by the Connecticut River Conservancy. The team collected more than 50 pounds of trash, including a vintage Dr. Pepper bottle!

More Than Pink Walk | Duke Farms, NJ

In October, the New Jersey team hosted an after-hours More Than Pink Walk at Duke Farms. The crew honored loved ones by wearing name tags and explored the greenhouse blooms, turning the grounds into a pink-powered path of support.

Green Mountain Breast Cancer Awareness Hike | Green Mountain, CO 

On October 21st, the Colorado team gathered for lunch, donned pink, and climbed Green Mountain together. With quick paces and high spirits, they showed their commitment to raising awareness and supporting breast cancer research.

#WalkWhereYouAre Initiative | Philadelphia, PA

In mid-October, the Philadelphia office joined the #WalkWhereYouAre initiative with a lunchtime walk through the Rail Park. The team completed a mile loop and capped off the activity with a pizza lunch, combining advocacy with camaraderie.

Trunk or Treat Community Event | Wilmington, DE  

In November 2025, the MidAtlantic team supported Pike Creek Dental and the northern Delaware community by participating in the annual Trunk or Treat held across the street from the Wilmington office. Sponsored by local businesses and free to the public, the event provided a safe and festive space for children to dress up, enjoy Halloween fun, and trick‑or‑treat in closed parking lots. 

Together, the group handed out nearly 1,500 pieces of candy while engaging with neighbors and spreading holiday cheer. Their efforts highlighted Verdantas’s commitment to community involvement and creating memorable experiences for local families.

Food Drive for New Hampshire Food Bank | Manchester, NH

Our Manchester Office organized a food drive to benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank during the month of November. Originally aiming to fill two large coolers with non-perishable food items, the team’s generosity far exceeded expectations by collecting the equivalent of five coolers' worth of donations. These contributions will provide meaningful support to local families. In addition to food donations, cash contributions were also made, further amplifying the impact.

School Backpack Program Packing Event | St. Clairsville, OH

In late November 2025, employees from both the St. Clairsville and Wheeling offices joined the Belmont County Farm Bureau’s School Backpack Program Packing Event at the Ickes Family Life Center. The program provides essential food and supplies to local children and families, ensuring students have what they need outside of school hours. 

Volunteers gathered on Saturday, November 22, and Sunday, November 23, to pack backpacks filled with nutritious items and resources. The event was open to the community, with walk-ins welcome, and Verdantas employees proudly contributed their time and energy to support this important cause.

Harris Bilingual Elementary School Food Pantry | Fort Collins, CO

In early December, the Fort Collins Office delivered both food donations and a monetary donation to the Harris Food Pantry at the Harris Bilingual Elementary School. The pantry is a new, site-based resource for kids and families that is still growing, making every contribution vital to strengthening its foundation and providing year-round assistance. 

The monetary donation will help the pantry purchase an industrial-sized refrigerator, enabling them to store perishable items and expand to fresh, nutritious food beyond canned goods. Alongside the food collected and delivered by the team, these contributions will directly benefit families in need and ensure the pantry can continue to grow into a sustainable community resource.

Families Helping Families Christmas | Newark, OH

In December 2025, the Newark office proudly continued its 20-year tradition of supporting the Families Helping Families program. With the collective generosity of the entire office and additional support from Verdantas, the team provided a local family of three with everything needed for a joyful holiday season. From toys and clothes to tablets and games, the gifts ensured each family member would feel the warmth of the community’s care. This long-standing tradition reflects the Newark office’s commitment to giving back and spreading cheer during the holidays.

Toys for Tots Campaign | Orlando, FL

In December 2025, the Orlando office proudly joined the Annual Toys for Tots Campaign, continuing a beloved tradition of giving back during the holiday season. The team came together to collect toys of all kinds—from games and dolls to electronics and books—ensuring children in need would experience the joy of Christmas morning.

Gift Wrapping Event | Wilmington, DE & Philadelphia, PA

In December 2025, the Philadelphia and Wilmington offices partnered to support the Northern New Castle County Family Promise organization. The employees adopted three families, purchasing gifts and household essentials to brighten their holiday season. The Philadelphia team gathered over lunch to wrap gifts before transporting them to the Wilmington office, where they joined additional donations collected by staff. Kate Bullock, who organizes the event annually, delivered the gifts to the organization and families.

Toy Drive | South Worcester, MA

In December 2025, Amie Humphrey Facendola and Stuart Cain, of the Flow Labs Office, had the joy of delivering toys to the South Worcester Neighborhood Center, a place where holiday magic happens every year. The Center works tirelessly to ensure every child in Worcester wakes up to something special under the tree on Christmas morning. We were honored to support that mission with two overflowing boxes of toys and a monetary donation to help cover any last-minute needs. Sometimes, all it takes to make an impact is a little time, a helping hand, and a generous heart.
