Sustainability Through Stewardship
February 12, 2026
At Verdantas, sustainability is a commitment grounded in stewardship—responsibility, care, and longterm thinking in how we manage what’s been entrusted to us. It reflects our belief that how we treat our people, use our resources, manage our data, and make decisions matters. Stewardship shapes how we lead with integrity, plan with intention, and design and deliver solutions that are thoughtful, resilient, and built to endure.
Embracing stewardship makes our sustainability vision actionable. It reinforces accountability through clear ownership, measurable progress, and governance that ensures followthrough. To strengthen this commitment, we have invested in leadership dedicated to embedding these principles into how we operate, collaborate, and deliver services—so responsibility is shared, understood, and upheld across the organization.
Verdantas remains clear on the value sustainability delivers: reducing risk, strengthening resilience, and creating lasting value for our clients, communities, and employees. Built into our governance, reflected in our culture, and reinforced through our services, stewardship is how we honor responsibility today while planning with care and balance for a stronger tomorrow.
Internally, we hold ourselves accountable.
Our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Stewardship Program, now jointly led by Chief Legal and Sustainability Officer Karla King and Sustainability Leader Chelsea Anderson, drives measurable progress across the organization. From transparent ESG reporting to responsible operations and employee engagement campaigns, we focus on being responsible stewards of the way we work and the impacts we make. This includes more consistent data stewardship, stronger risk management processes, and a commitment to integrating ESG considerations into decisions at every level.
We view sustainability from a systems mindset, not as an isolated endeavor. A truly sustainable company must balance environmental protection, social equity, and financial viability. If it doesn’t work for people, the planet, and long-term prosperity, it will not endure. That’s why our leadership continuously asks: How can we make this more sustainable? Whether in risk management, planning, policy, technology development, or our people programs, the most rewarding path forward is fully integrating sustainability into all aspects of our business model.
Externally, we help clients do the same.
Our Sustainability Advisory Practice, led by National Practice Lead Michael Mondshine with support from Senior Consultant, Gina Tonn, partners with organizations to develop, design and implement sustainability strategies, ESG policies and programs, climate transition and decarbonization plans, and ensure organizational and infrastructure resilience. We help clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes, design achievable net‑zero pathways, engage stakeholders, and build long-term resilience into their operations and infrastructure.
The result is a unified approach that connects our internal commitments with the solutions we deliver externally. We believe sustainability should not be treated as a siloed discipline, but rather as the connective tissue across every market, project, and decision. By fully integrating sustainability into our business practice we are cultivating a team of stewards who create durable value for our clients and help shape healthier, more resilient communities.
