Verdantas provided civil engineering, land use planning, landscape architecture, and surveying services for this unique mixed-use transit-oriented development (TOD) along the I-5 corridor in Mountlake Terrace, WA. Verdantas worked closely with the owner, architect, and city staff to develop a Master Site Plan to connect the housing and retail development to adjacent neighborhoods through pedestrian-friendly streets and trails. The site plan showcased open spaces seamlessly integrating the natural environment with the built community.

Verdantas prepared construction plans, including designs for a new city road, water and sewer mainline extensions, storm drainage, detention, and water quality improvements utilizing low-impact development techniques, site grading, landscape, and irrigation. The Terrace Station community consists of three distinctive mixed-use buildings with the prominent Sound Transit light rail elevated track as a backdrop. The built-out property contains 650 residential apartment units and 100,000 SF consumer-oriented retail space.

Aegis Living has initiated several senior community projects in Kirkland, Ballard, South Lake Union, Mercer Island, Newcastle, Woodinville, and Sammamish, WA. Verdantas has been instrumental in delivering comprehensive land development services for these projects. Our work included conceptual and design review phases, demolition and temporary erosion control plans, stormwater mitigation design, and infrastructure connections to the publicly owned storm, sewer, water, and dry utility systems. Additionally, we conducted topographic and boundary surveys.
