Verdantas provided multidisciplinary support for the development of a new Hospitality Center for Family Promise of Northern New Castle County, a mission-driven organization focused on addressing family homelessness. Located in Wilmington, Delaware, the approximately 10,000-square-foot facility was designed to expand service capacity and enhance access to critical housing and support resources. 

Our team supported the project from initial due diligence through construction, delivering civil engineering, environmental services, permitting, and construction-phase coordination. Key services included site evaluation, survey coordination, stormwater management and utility design, land development approvals, and preparation of construction documents. Verdantas worked closely with New Castle County, DelDOT, and project partners to secure regulatory approvals and keep the project moving forward efficiently.

The project required careful coordination to redevelop an existing site and transition it into a purpose-built facility capable of supporting expanded operations. During construction, the team encountered subsurface and field coordination challenges, including utility integration and evolving site conditions. Verdantas provided responsive construction review and technical support to evaluate field conditions, coordinate with the contractor, and resolve issues in a timely manner. 

Completed in 2026, the new Hospitality Center delivers a modern, purpose-built space featuring residential units, a commercial kitchen, and dedicated support areas designed to provide stability and dignity for families in need. The facility allows Family Promise to serve up to 16 families at a time, significantly expanding its impact in the community.
