Verdantas performed the overall architectural/engineering services for a new greenfield, fiberglass mat production at the existing shingle plant in Oxford, NC. This project will increase CertainTeed’s glass mat production capacity by constructing a new stand-alone plant containing a new line and other support facilities. We provided design for a new production line, 100,000 SF warehousing space, spare parts storage, maintenance shop, office space, and break/locker room. The increased traffic at the expanded site was evaluated and optimized to allow for uncongested access to all loading/unloading areas of both facilities.
