The Terminal Core Redevelopment (TCORE) project, initiated by the Port of Portland at Portland International Airport (PDX), is a significant endeavor to expand the terminal to increase capacity and streamline passenger flow. The project aims to optimize the airport’s functionality, sustainability, and earthquake resilience by creating healthier, more efficient spaces. Verdantas' specific focus on this project included designing mechanical and plumbing utility supports required for the airport expansion. Our job was to ensure the utilities would function for the development, for example, by determining where rainwater would go and how the utilities would perform during an earthquake.
