Advanced Computer Simulation Backed by More Than a Century of Modeling Experience
Modern numerical modeling and simulation tools allow us to evaluate flow systems that once required laboratory physical modeling or extensive field testing. As three-dimensional modeling technology continues to advance, we can simulate increasingly complex fluid flow systems and provide insight to support design and decision-making.
Three-dimensional (3D) Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) models simulate fluid flow behavior and can help predict the performance of a wide range of flow systems. These models can include multiphase flow, (including gas/water, water/particulate, and aeration), chemical species transport, reaction kinetics, mass transfer, turbulence and energy dissipation. This allows our team to evaluate complex hydraulic, chemical, and thermal mixing processes. When appropriate, CFD simulations can also be paired with physical modeling to validate results and provide greater confidence in the findings.
Effective CFD modeling requires more than sophisticated software. Our experienced engineers understand how to set up and run simulations, interpret the results, and assess whether they accurately represent the physical system being studied. That experience helps turn complex simulation data into reliable insights that can inform design and support project decisions.
